dude yes you can downgrade 4.55 to 3.55 u should go and get 4.55 Rogero that is what i went for u cant downgrade if your higher than 3.55 unless ur using a e3 flasher sawwy PS: u will need a esata station unless u wanna mess up ur console u may not need it but i had my problems when i didnt use the esata station like ylod problems

yes you can downgrade a 4.55 ofw to 3.55ofw, however, the ps3 cannot be super slim!

lol go and try doing it with out a esata station lets see how u go into the system can not start loop esata station is only 10-20 bucks better to be safe then sorry i found out the hard way

If you dont have a Esata station, then after the downgrade of a console... The Hard Drive will have to format to the downgraded firmware, and everything that the ps3 had will be deleted.

No Esata Station = Formatted HDD + Lose everything
With Esata Station = Everything is still on the HDD after the Downgrade + Lose Nothing

This is the way i do it, and a lot of other people do it without the esata station and dongle.
