If your PS3 is on a 4.55 CEX CFW & not DEX. Then you're good. Your CFW won't get updated. Just basically mostly everything content thats in dev_hdd0 gets copied/transferred and overwritted to the other PS3... dev_flash (firmware files folder) wont be transfered or altered at all..

So yeah you've got nothing to worry about & it's safe.
