Now i have a couple of questions which have probably already been answered on here (so if anyone can point me to a tutorial which outlines all of these questions that would be great!) but i just want to confirm..
1 - can you downgrade from 4.60 ofw?
2 - what is the best cfw to use for playing backups and also RTMing mainly on cod and gta online?
3 - what is the latest and best method to go about getting the ps3 set up to do ^ from 3.55?
so far i understand that i need the latest cfw and i need to spoof it to be able to get online, also DEX is preferred for RTMing, but to be honest ive read the tutorials but i dont really understand the QA flag, dehashing and also getting the ps3 on the latest cfw, ive seen a video that says you need to install CFW, downgrade it back to 3.55 CFW then update to the latest which is 4.55 CFW i believe..
Sorry if these questions have already been answered but i want to make sure i get this right as im paying to get it downgraded off ebay and i really dont want to brick my ps3!

Anyways, 4.60 is downgradable depending on your PS3 model, though I don't believe official tools for that firmware is out yet. I'd probably wait a while for them to release and become stable before doing anything major. As for firmware, I use PS3ITA 4.50. It's a full DEX which means updates aren't necessarily required to play online, and since it's DEX it's easy to RTM, as you said. It will also work with CEX tools if you install CCAPI on your system.

There are plenty of methods on how to downgrade and go to 4.50 ITA, so I'd just go with one that seems to work for you. I'd recommend sticking with one tutorial rather than a few though, to lower the chance of PS3 bricks.

ah i see, so from 3.55ofw, i would need to install 3.55cfw first then go from there?

update guys! im getting my ps3 jailbroken and 4.55ita installed for me so now someone is just gonna have to help me on how to use it and start modding
