(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Lets say I've just bought a brand new JB console running 4.50ita on DEX how would I install a game, would I do it direct from the disk or would I need the .pkg file? Sorry I'm new to this.

You need multiman. You put the game in open mulitman press triangle while over the game. some options pop up just click copy and let it copy the disk to the harddrive

Latest Patch? As in the latest firmware? Or game update?
It would prompt you on the game startup if you would like to update your ps3 and also the game. You have nothing to worry about just don't update your ps3 from a ps3 game PS3UPDAT.PUP. I'm pretty sure if you're spoofed you have nothing to worry about.
