On an average day of use my CPU goes upwards of 82 degrees Celsius sometimes even as high as 88 Celsius. I'm asking y'all to come up with ideas on solving heating issues for not only myself but like I said any others who have the same problem.

Clean the dust from inside too change thermal paste or just take a fan and put it in front of ur ps3

All dust is cleared, definitely need to get some new thermal paste. It's never been applied other than in factory, and in front? Or do you mean like where the back vent is?

Even physical modifications, if it helps me keep my ps3 cool I'm game for just about anything.

this always seems to be a problem with the phats so all i have done is downloaded control fan utility 2.03 it works well keeping my ps3 at a cool 60-70 degrees bye setting the utility to 45

yeah i second that just download a tool so you can change your fan setting higher so it wont get as hot i use ps3ita manager fan control

THe only thing you can do is clean it then replace the thermal paste. I would order the paste TODAY. make sure it's artic silver. That's the same stuff I use for mine when I fix ps3s and downgrade them.

I would also suggest using fan speed control. You can get that inside ITA manager
