Post: Playing Backups/Torrented Games Online?
07-21-2014, 03:19 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey do you guys know if there is any extra risk involved with running backups online? What about for torrented PS3 games?

The reason why I ask is because I have a lot of games that I bought digitally on my old account but I don't want to download them off that account. I would risk loosing years of PS plus on my playstation 4.

Thanks guys.

Not really. Everything serves a risk but there's a difference when performing different actions. Pirating isn't really something you would get caught doing. Reason why? Simple. I'm sure that the government have more important things to worry about than people downloading free stuff on the Internet.

But just to be safe, I always use a VPN while downloading torrents. And I recommend you do the same.

Oh nononono haha sorry for the confusion. I meant to ask if you think the ban risk from Sony would be any higher. I agree with you though, VPNs are awesome. Smile

No, it shouldn't be a problem with Sony.

Every gane has a risk. If you are scared to play online the maybe you shouldn't have a cfw
Or don't play online lol

Bans in the past have had nothing to do with if it was from the disc or not. CFW users playing bought games have been banned.

That being said I think if you do not play online with your CFW PS3 that is no different from being banned. Also if you have n OFW PS3 use your paid for games on that and just pirate them for your CFW, keep the accounts separate. Having a banned CFW box is no big deal but an OFW one is a different story.
