You can't install rebug over rogero nor should you.
Install the downgrader from rogero. Then go to OFW THEN go to rebug.

These are the steps i always use..Done on many different consoles with no issues.Use right usb port & make sure no disc in PS3.


9.99 downgrader>>toggle qa>>Rogero 3.55v3.7


While on Rogero 3.55v3.7 dump your eid root key then update to Rebug 4.46 Rex addition..convert to dex from there.

If you get error, data is corrupt, or no applicable update found, don't panic this is normal.. Just install updates from recovery menu.

Actually you only have to use the downgrader if you don't have QA toggled and you only have to go to 3.55 to install Geohot's firmware if you use the 999 downgrader you can install rebug from there

My friend was able to do it without using a downgrader

DEX is developer Firmware
Rebug is a type of custom firmware and Some versions of rebug have CEX and DEX Support
I call it the gateway firmware

You don't need to install ofw but it's recommended by anyone with common knowledge that you do

So should I stay on rebug or change to dex? Which has less risk of banned?

Rebug is the name of the developer that makes the rebug firmware

Cex is a retail console firmware
Dex is developer custom firmware
