Your going to need the limited edtion e3 flasher kit its like 100$ i think.

and this is what is essential? i found a source from china that would sell at about half that price should i do it?

Depending on what you wanna do. If u wanna dual boot ofw and cfw your gonna want the limited edition. If u just want to downgrade and that's it. You can buy the normal one. Just make sure your console is downgradeable first.

it says my ps3 is downgradable but i would just like to host all these hacks, not sure whats the difference between ofw and cfw

I don't know everything about it but there's probably some guys on here that can tell you the ins and out.

Ofw is official firmware. Cfw is custom firmware. There are trustable websites on E3 website. I personally bought mine from modschipdirect. For me there shipping was good. I got mine 2 days early. And I only bought the regular E3 version not the limited edition one.

ok so i would like to run CFW im guessing, do you have skype???? please would be so much easier
