(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi everyone! I'm xelahot. About one year ago, I tried to go back to CEX from a DEX 4.21 ita CFW PS3 which is not something possible. I PS3 then resulted semi-bricked (DEX2CEX Semi-Brick). Since I bricked it, it cannot boot or go to recovery mode. It just beep for a total of 10 time then it goes red. After some research, I founded alot of tutorials to fix this with 2 different method. The first one was simply to go into FSM (Factory Service Mode) with any kind of ps3 usb dongle and re-update the ps3. That wasn't working for me because FSM wasn't accessible from CFW 4.21 ita and all those tutorials were only for 3.55 semi-bricks so I had to find a 4.21 ita Semi-Brick fix and I did. The second method I found was to use an E3 Flasher to flash a backup of my ps3 dump into the memory of the NOR/NAND of the ps3 while the PS3 is still running because I would have soldered the Tristate to the Ground. that was to fix the memory I accidently fucked up by going DEX to CEX on 4.21 ita even if it was not possible. Now, here are 2 other problems I got with this single tutorial i have found. the first one is that all the tutorial is done with an E3 Flasher (originally called: E3 Nor Flasher, because it's only compatible with NOR consoles) and my ps3 (CECHA01 [FAT]) is NAND so i cant do this.

the second major problem is that the only dump I have for this Bricked PS3 is corrupted so I can't use it. I then realized that i need to make a new backup of my dump to fix this but i cant do it because my ps3 is bricked. So I discovered that some Chips like the 'E3 Nor Flasher', 'progskeet 1.21' or 'teensy' are able to make a backup of the ps3's NOR/NAND memory by powering it with forrce or by powering only the NOR/NAND with 3.3V. So now that I know that, I need someone to help me because I can't find any help. I need to know which Chip should I use(cant use E3 Flasher because its only for NOR)? Depending on the Chip you recommend me, what parts do I have to buy (list all of them)? because Ive seen many chips parts to avoid soldering and im getting confused because there's too many pieces so i dont want to buy the wrong thing. After, how do i install it and make a backup of my NAND dump? and when i'll have my new dump, how do i flash my dump like showed in the tutorial I had found? because they did it with the E3 Flasher so am I gonna be able to do this with the same Chip you would have recommended me to make a backup of my dump?

Now you probably understand why I named this thread like that.

E3 Flasher only flashes NOR ps3's, theres a device called a Teensy that flashes NAND (if I'm not mistaken). Research that

lmao Hammy But yea, as I said, i need to make a new dump, but will this new dump made with Teensy or Progskeet will also be corrupted because of my DEX to CEX Semi-brick? And if the answer is yes, is there any way to fix the corrupted dump i have? (maybe with FlowRebuilder by dissasembling the dump, replacing or fixing the corrupted parts and reassembling it)

So if I make multiple dumps with one of the chip I listed am I gonna be able to get a valid dump even if I had switched my ps3 to CEX and bricked the memory contained in the nand? Maybe yes I'm not sure, because I think I can see the same issue here with a NOR 3.55 Semi-Brick, but I can't do it with an E3 flasher and I'm not sure which parts of the chips I need to buy (some of them seem to be useless if I solder, well that's a complicated situation because if that thing work, I don't even know if i'll be able to use the same chips to fix the 4.21 ita DEX2CEX brick after).

I just discovered something important: by getting on this semi-brick on cfw 4.21 ita, the only way to fix it was to re-flash one of my valid nand dump using a nand flasher but i dont have any valid backup of it so now that it's corrupted, even if i do a backup from a something like Progskeet or teensy, the nand dump will be corrupted. So I made my semi-brick a perma-brick. no possible way to fix it unless there's a way to manually edit the dump and make it valid by doing the reversed effect that happened when i went DEX to CEX on my cfw 4.21 ita. Is that possible?? i dont know? maybe flowRebuilder can do this? any help please

Perhaps you could try pulling a dump from a non modified ps3 of the same year and ch model update your e 3 and flash it you cant brick it any worse! good luck tell me your findings

no, the syscon of my ps3 need to have the same keys in my nand so using another ps3 dump wouldn't do it
