It constantly says the ethernet is connected then not, then upon testing connections it disconnects and for some reason nothing is working at all. I tried both of sharks tutorials and I'm about to switch back to cex because I've been at this for hours. Anyways if anyone has any help on this it would be much appreciated, thanks. ( I'm on rebug 4.46.1 REX)

(oh and another question if i switch back to cex using the nor files fast could i use cex with debug eboots on games or must I switch back to dex for that? )

Then let's just try connecting over WiFi. Install 'Enstone's control console v2.00' (better than 2.50 in my opinion) then you should be able to connect with CCAPI! =D

but what if i wan't to use tools that require tmapi connect? whats the point of dex? :O

wait i need help now its acting weird. Trying FTP server to change files, it works for 2 minutes then "The data connection could not be established: ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server
Error: Connection timed out

Nope wait now its working wtf is dex normally like this or is my life horrible

You can't use an FTP server with an Ethernet (that I know of). You will have to switch back to wireless to do that. Then go to back to TMAPI afterwards

Well, that must mean that you can use FTP servers without wireless. Haha =D But, if using FTP is being a problem, just use multiMAN or something like that. If you don't have multiMAN for 4.46.1 D-REX, i can help you get you it.
