Basically my question is can i switch from rogero to rebug without downgrading first? Also, if i have to downgrade first can i do it without a flasher on a jailbroken ps3?

And what is the md5 checksum thing i keep reading about when i look up different cfw's, and what is the qa thing? Sorry im kinda a noob when it comes to this stuff.

You can downgrade back to 3.55 with Rogero downgrader and then update to Rebug Cex type firmware. If you want to go to Dex you have to convert from Cex to Dex before anything. Also I would highly advise you enable QA Toggle at 3.55 first, if you have not already done so. No need for hardware flashing while on cfw. QA Toggle allows you to downgrade easily from different firmwares. The checksum validates the update file, to check if it is not corrupted. It helps prevent bricks from corrupt files.

Can i change from cec to dex on rogero firmware?

Nope, CEX2DEX feature is only available on Rebug (last Rebug FW is 4.46.1)

Ok, so i downgrade first. Then enable qa flagging, and then i install rebug. I think i got it.

All the downgrader link I have found are dead. Anyone know where to download the rogero downgrader?
