Anyone no how to do a downgrade with out an e3 flasher. Websites to download or programs for free I can reformat the ps3 with latest update fucked my ps3. I would rather jailbreak it to see if it works but I need to no how to get to factory service mode first. The beep once and beep twice is not factory service mode. Also is there a way I can link my ps3 to my computer to find an error in the system like remote assistance on a computer. If so a step by step would be great thanks.

Well to get it out of rsod install the official 4.60 update from the sony website, and you cannot downgrade a ps3 without a e3 flasher.

Hmm a non jailbroken/OFW PS3 with RSOD.. Is your PS3 model by any chance fat CECHL** or slim CECH20** ? Cos if so then sounds like true RSOD fault. = Hardware, defective samsung NOR chip inside.

There is a way to temp fix & also permanent fix but which requires soldering & replacing the faulty NOR chip with a good spansion instead like Spansion S29GL128P90TFIR2 NOR.. But either way of bypassing or fixing first requires a hardware flasher i.e. E3 Flasher, to get/dump of the NOR flash.
