CEX is retail, Dex is Developer uses only, but sony leaked the DEX, and the targetmanager so DEX have more advantage of modding and using the Debugger as well, unlike CEX.... CEX can RTM but DEX is way more stable than CEX... Hope this make sense LOL or others can explain it better than i can haha

Not necessarily. They both have there advantages and disadvantages.

For RTM
DEX = Faster, Wired, Can call some functions CCAPI can't
CEX CCAPI = Slower, Wireless, Can call some functions DEX can't

There are various reasons why one is better. If you can't decide, a DEX firmware can use ccapi too. DEX firmwares also use up more resources on the ps3 so it may overheat more often etc

There are some disadvantages but both are great! But i prefer DEX but its what ever suits you :p

All these posts are great but start with cex cause your new and i dont want you to do something bad on dex and cant fix.

I like cex better because it is so god damn sexy
