Before I gave it to him I removed all user profiles except for the reactpsn profile. When he got it home he told me he was having issues creating a new user. He tried signing up with existing info and making a new profile but as soon as he chooses either of the two options it says connection to the server has timed out, he can't even get to the page where you enter your personal information.

Is this caused by removing all the user profiles from the ps3? Is there anyway around this other than restoring factory defaults and re-jailbreaking? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

No it would be caused by the network settings and how you had previously set up your DEX ps3. Also need to make sure console is spoofed to 4.60.

And too fix the situation you should make sure it is spoofed to 4.60 and if its still not able to go online, go to Ps3ita and click Network tools then click restore original ip, it should be fine from there

yeah i was signing in fine before i sold it to him. sold it for 200. i logged in and everything with him here before he left with it. all debug settings were correct. the last thing i did was delete the remaining profiles and he said it times out when he tries to sign up his psn
