We know when we start a game it contacts a server to check for updates. In my research and trials I was able to use linux backtrack 5 r3 to copy Facebook and redirect any requests made for Facebook to my pc using dns spoofing illegal if done against someone without permission (Just to clarify i had permission to do so ).

So my idea is if someone creates a program (that accepts modified updates ) that acts like a update server, and we use backtrack to redirect update requests to the pc, we could use the software to upload a custom update into the system without having a jailbroken ps3 . I know a little about C# coding but it is very little so if someone thinks this is possible or wants to try this they wold have to find a expert programer/ be a expert programmer themselves

Now i understand many may say this is a waste of their time or this is a stupid idea and will never work well i'm sorry if u think that but i don't understand how ps3's work to well. This is just a idea i had and i want to know what everyone thinks. For those who actually take the time to read my idea thanks for your time and please like i said i want to know what u think.

Actually i was wating for this kind of post for long time , the idea could be stupid and it is , like it was the usb mods on mw2 , i had it when people only think the only way was to mod the patch , actually we need ideas , we need stupid ideas like these.
