I wanted to get on dex so I used rogero 3.55 downgrader (i checked md5 and it was perfect) and then to rogero 3.55v.3.7 and then i installled eEid Root key dumper, went into multiman and copied eEid to usb. then went to try to install rebug 4.46 cex again so i could continue with coverting it installs to 70%-74% then it says error (8002F997) the data is corrupted, so i thought maybe i need to go back to ofw 3.55 first, same thing 70%-74% error (8002F997) the data is corrupted. So i go online and people say to go to network settings hold trigger and click sticks and press down on d-pad and go to System update debug and turn it on. so i turn it on and try again. same exact thing. i re format my usb deletes everything on it, same thing happens again. I try kmeaw 3.55, same thing. I go into safe mode with ofw 3.55, same thing data corrupted, then i try kmeaw, same thing.
Now for some reason when i go to system settings it says version 4.25 but on multiman it says 3.55.
I no idea what to do next. I need help, i'm kinda sad right now because im scared i might of cfw bricked my ps3

Sounds like you're on rogero (didn't read OP was to long)
You need to use the rogero downgrader to get off that crappy firmware :p

Actually no it's not. It's known for causing problems like getting stuck on that firmware.

Sorry bud. This happened to me on my first jailbroken ps3. After i asked a few people, they all answered with the same thing, I lost my jailbreak. You did something wrong while downgrading. I'm not sure if you lost your jailbreak, if you can use homebrew apps then you're good, if not then you have lost your jailbreak.

Maybe if you're slightly unsmart and can't figure out how to get off to go on rebug :p

I can install apps and what not and still use homebrew. I'm 99% sure its my spoofer i forgot to disable when i was on rebug 4.46 then i used rogero downgrader and then rogero 3.55 because when i go to system settings it says i'm on 4.25 and multiman says 3.55 does anyone know how to remove spoofer? do I use the spoofer i used when i was on rebug?

Oh yes, that's the issue. Downgrading while a spoofer is activated will cause that error that you're getting. To be honest, I don't know how to fix it myself. If i must say, NGU is a great place to get help, so you're in the right place.

Do you have any idea how to remove a spoofer after you've changed firmwares? says 3.55 spoofed to 4.25 and that is 100% why it won't update my cfw. I can't upgrade, downgrade or anything until i remove that spoofer

You have to use the homebrew to remove it or reinstall the SAME firmware
