Alright, lets start from scratch. I have owned a jailbroken ps3 since the very first 3.55 jailbreak sticks were released back in summer 2010, so I pretty much know to use it, patch.ff , Eboot.bin, mod menus from usb stick , trophies, RTM etc.

Now thing is, I was quite bored of ps3 modding as there weren't so many big news or releases in a while, so when the ps4 came I put my 2 jailbroken ps3s in my basement and haven't used them since that.

I would like to get back into the jailbreak scene a bit more again but I know sonys detecting system has leveled up quite good and that there are quite a lot things you can do with your cfw that will get you banned nowadays.

I have 2 jailbroken slim ps3s, 1 cex rogero 4.46 I think, which I used for synching trophies and play backups offline. And 1 dex rebug 4.46 which I used for RTM and hosting lobbies on cod.

A nice thing is, non of my ps3s have ever been banned! no mac addres ban , no console id ban, no psid ban, and I have never ever had a single account banned on my systems.

Sooo, I would like to try CCAPI, what would be the easiest firmware to uptde to? What do I need to avoid? And are tools like psnpatch , psninja etc really needed/essential? need to spoof/ change cid or osid to be safer?

Well if you only RTM on a DEX why would you need ccapi? you would need ProDG target manager and obviously a debugged eboot check out youtube tutorials "How to RTM on a DEX"

Hey man. I only RTM'd on DEX because back then CCAPI was not released yet. And my Internet setup at home has changed so I have no ethernet cable acces anymore and therefore CCAPI is even more needed
