you do know that the e3 has tht silver clip you gotta slide then open then put the sd card in and snap and slide it back right caus when i first got mine couldnt figure tht out for like 5 months

like make sure you open your clip not just slide it in

Format your SD card and try again. Make sure you format it too FAT32 I believe it is. When inserting the SD card cover it with the metal case that's with the E3 flasher then it should be good from there.

This is something you might wanna try out
If you notice that the e3 flasher has an USB slot on the left hand side

Connect the usb from E3 flasher to your PC
Make sure to have the e3 flasher switches set for accepting the update.bin
Turn on the PS3 and let it boot up
You should know notice a new drive on your computer called KERNEL (i think)
open it and should be blank
get the update.bin (e3 flasher update) and drag it in
you should see the constant blue light come up

at this point if the blue light don't come up:
1) the3 flasher is not connected correctly
2) the update.bin files is not named correctly
3) something is wrong with the e3 flasher

at this point if the blue light do show up:
1) then something is wrong with the sd card
2) then something is wrong sd card slot on the e3 flasher

Yes it works I did it via USB but when I go to step 2,which its back up I press star but unly 1 blue comes out

be a little more specific like which number light?

The first blu light its on and blinking the 2 its off the 3 its on blinking the 4,on and blinking.

And I still can't update whit sdcard

I did this first 2 switch down the rest up but the E3 cant update
