After that finished, my ps3 booted up with system software saying 4.25. Also the install packages folder was gone. Now all package files such as mutiman wont start and give me an error code. Thinking it had some displaying issues, i tried updating to kmeaw 3.55. When it booted it had the same firmware displayed and same errors with packages. Any help would be very nice because im not sure what to do.

Did you update cfw with a game in the drive?

Yeah cause you're not supposed to have a Disc in your bd drive while installing a firmware

If it lets you install any cfw, you mentioned KMAEW 355, then you are not on OFW

But it didnt i had a disk in

Oh right, sorry, I misread it. Try installing a cfw without disc in drive, although it sounds like ur on ofw now which means you will either need e3 flasher or pay for a downgrade service

But isn't their a risk of brick now that i might be on ofw

Not sure, but I wouldn't think so, I've made that mistake once of updating while having a disc in drive and I didn't brick. Luckily for my case I already had an e3 flasher so I wasn't worried about anything. With an e3 flasher you make a few dumps of your NOR chip and validate them before actually modding it so in case of any bricking you have those backup dumps and you're good to go.
