Mine is on about 5 to 6 hours a day never overheats or had a problem with it

its possible for slim to get ylod just make sure its cleaned out amazing how much dust n crap gets in there

Great question.mine gets hot really fast idk if is the custom firmware as is jailbroken or what it is.i own two slim models and the one that is not jailbroken keeps cooler and i play for hours and hours.

Yes slims can get YLOD (experience) thermal paste on and under the headspreaders can cause faulty connection and may not work properly thus causing heat problems, renewing the paste on and under are perfect to fix most heat issues
