Pretty sure it's only DEX. And really, it's not hard to convert. It's just time-consuming. I could try to send you a link to the guide I used from S7S. Obviously, I'm not going to post the link here, but if you want to convert, then that's great! DEX is more stable, but requires constant restoring of console id on every reboot of the PS3. You also get more mods with TMAPI. And since it's DEX, you can use CCAPI or TMAPI. (One's a connection process by Enstone, meaning it's 3rd party software -- less stable, more buggy, the other is by Sony themselves.) If you do try to convert, be aware, finding debugger and target manager can be a tricky task, as many of the download links are taken down.
