(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); my fat ps3 always shuts off multiple times when i load up a game it flashes a yellow light, beeps 3 times, then flashes red. after its streak of shutting off i then could play the game for a while but the times differ as im playing before it happens again. i dont think its YLOD because its been doing this for months and i could still turn it on. it only happens during games & sometimes on the XMB :/ could this be because the fat ps3 is old hardware? and it seems like its overheating issues as the ps3 loads a lot of data once u start up a game therefore it shuts off because it overheated.. and when im playing a game for example GTA 4 when there is a lot going on it shuts off.. is my PS3 bricked or what???

Is your ps3 jailbroken or not?

Maybe is overheating since almost all fat ps3 suffer from that issue.i could also sugest opening your ps3 and cleaning it and using a air Duster to clean dust and stuff inside.and also apply new silver artic themal paste to cpu and gpu.You can also try and reinstall the firmware again.

im on rogero 4.55 cex cfw and i have changed up firmwares to rebug 4.46.1 rex or whatever it was called and it still shuts off.. so i think its because its outdated, old, and overheating ;[

To clear things up, you have the Yellow Light of Death. This is a very severe case in your PS3 actually and it can only be fixed by someone who knows how to work their way around the playstation 3 console.
