PS3 SLIM- 160GB
FIRMWARE IM RUNNING- 4.60
USB THUMBDRIVE - 8GB
MAC (NO WINDOWS)

If you are on a firmware higher than 3.55 you need to downgrade with an E3 Flasher.other than that it wont be possible to jailbrake ur ps3

You're going to need to downgrade to a System Software Version 3.55 or lower in order to jailbreak your console. You can do this by using a downgrading hardware such as an E3 Flasher and you can check out various threads in the PS3 Section here on NGU actually. Here's a few links for you.

Also going to addon to what Natsu said, just cause you get an E3 flasher doesn't mean you can downgrade. You have to check the model # of your ps3. 3 & 4k ps3's are now downgrade-able. And E3 Is for a NOR ps3, If you have a Nand you'd have to get something else like a Progskeet. I have experience, so let me know the model # If you need help. You can also buy a downgrade server from a trusted NGU user!
