Did you flash the ps3 or only get to the install stage?
Try to re assemble the console without the e3 installed,if it still has red flashing light (YLOD) then you must of damaged the mobo when you separated it from the heat sink.

They stick & you have to be very careful not to rip it apart.

Also make sure the power supply is secure as this can make you get red flashing light
