I know you can data transfer from ps3 to hamachi to ps3. But why can't you data transfer and trick your ps3 into saving onto a computer. Then transfer from computer to ps3? This seems like it would be possible but idk.

If this was possible I am sure that the scene would have worked this out by now.

The only way of getting a PS3 backup to a PC is to use a External Device (USB) device and backup the PS3 to it and then you can put it on the computer but you cannot mod the back up this way that i no of.

The only way you would be able to do what your asking is to have a friend with a CFW and place your backup onto there CFW and then add in the mod menu and what ever else you want to do then just back it up again to a USB and then restore the backup to your OFW.

That doesn't work because you need to replace the modded back up's console id with yours or something like this, which can no longer be done :\
