(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basically I used to have my ps3 on 4.46 rebug cex and converted it to dex quite easily, but I decided to change a couple of options in a debug pkg and screwed up my ps3 causing 'rsod'. After finding a update called "(DEX ofw 3.55 DOWNGRADER DEX)" my ps3 was fixed but it seems to still be in debug mode, I can't install any pkg errors (80029cca) I can't system update at all... They all apparently corrupt... I can't update via internet either...
Please please someone help me with this I want to get back to 4.46 rebug but stuck on 3.55 debug

Also, when I click on system update it quotes "update version 2.16 or later can be installed on this system"
Barring in mind mY ps3 has never been on 2.16...

See if you can connect through target manager, if you can, reset your system back to system software or release mode. That's your easiest approach

It's already on system software, I don't understand why it's doing this

I've fixed it now but every time I turn my ps3 on it freezes on the wave intro screen and dont do anything ()

I have encountered this issue several times before,though the same fix method did not work all the time.
I have fixed this issue by
-reinstalling the current Cfw via the recovery menu
-restore the ps3 system via the recovery menu
-formatting the internal hdd via a laptop/PC.
Yet some units would still have the current issue after trying those methods.
The last option ( which has worked every time I use this option ) is to
Install an E3flasher
Solder a wire from the tri state point to the sbe point on your e3 cable
Flash your verified backup to the console
Downgrade to 3.55
And start fresh ( e.g.) reinstalling your required Cfw,home brew content etc etc )
