(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So In the past, I've copied many games like 'MW3' to my HDD using multiman. My friend is lending GTAV and COD Ghosts to me for the weekend. I don't have those games.. But I was told if i copy games that new, that i would get banned really fast. Or, that it will ruin the disc when copying it. I don't wanna buy him a new game. Would I get banned if I run a copied version of those games? It seems pretty worthless to buy the game if i can just go rent it, copy it, then return it... (I won't rename the PARAM.SFO or anything dumb).

UPDATE: Copied COD Ghosts + Dead Island: RipTide! 100% working - Disc has no problems. Completely safe!

no you wouldn't get banned but that's not the correct way to copy a game go download a game via torrents

Yeah but it's easy. And if i'm borrowing the game, it makes sense to just do it.

Lol correct. I really haven't done it that way but go ahead you would not get banned they don't detect that and no it will not ruin the disk.

Honestly man.. I don't think it matters. I've been playing GTAV from a backup for ages now and no ban. Also the only to ruin the disc is if your blu-ray drive is somehow faulty and is scratching it, but I HIGHLY doubt that would happen lol. So I think your good.

How do you think those torrents get up there? They copy the contents of the disc and just transfer it back to there pc and upload it lol. Not that hard.

You said that isn't the "correct" way to do it. How is that not the correct way to do it?

GTA and Ghosts ban console id's as far as I know. You can play diskless on cfw for any game new or not, it really depends on their security etc. Anyways, the only risk of playing new games is whether or not they are released already, it would raise the chance if it's not out yet.
