Certainly
You can simply update to any required Cfw of your desire.
So....example cobra 7.00/Rogero 4.46
Download the cobra 7/Rogero Cfw file ( PUP )
Create a folder on a USB stock called " PS3 "
Then create another folder inside the " PS3 " folder you created called " UPDATE "
Then place your recently downloaded Cfw into the update folder ( also Make sure your USB drive is formatted to fat32,which most are anyways.....also make sure that the Cfw file you downloaded is named to " PS3UPDAT.PUP " if it isn't already )
Then navigate to the option in the settings menu
" system update "
Then select " via USB storage media "
You should now see the name of your Cfw displayed on your screen to confirm that this is the fw version you want to install.
Accept....update will take around 3 minutes and you are done :-)
If you want to update to a DEX Cfw you will need to obtain your eid_root_key whilst running v3.55,then create your CEXDEX norbins via PC,once compiled convert to DEX via the rebug toolbox and then update to a higher DEX Cfw ( e.g. PS3ITA 4.50 )
If the console was downgraded to 3.55 using a hardware flasher do not forget to enable QA Toggle before updating to your required fw version.
Hope this helps :-)
