There is no DEX 4.66! I hate people like you who buy a jb PS3 and expect to know everything or get people to help. You need to learn yourself it's not easy as a beginner.

If you're on 3.55, get a USB stick... then right click on it and format to fat32. You'll then want to create a folder on the USB stick called 'PS3', when you have created that folder, open it, and create another folder in the PS3 folder called 'UPDATE'.

Once that's done, download this You must login or register to view this content..

When you have that downloaded, drag that into the 'UPDATE' folder. Now rename the file you just dragged to 'PS3UPDAT.PUP' not updatE, updat.PUP. Then you can right click and safely remove the USB stick.

Now, go to the PS3, remove the game disk from the PS3, then remove the Ethernet cable or disable internet access.

Now stick the USB stick into the RIGHT usb port, go to system update and choose from USB or whatever the next option is, other that the internet.

You should now be jailbroken. Remember, for the love of God, do not loose electricity or whatever while doing this

Now that it's all done, you'll want to find a tutorial on how to convert CEXtoDEX. I recommend this video, as it helped me a long time ago.

Usually the rude person is one in authority. Like a staffmember, usually a moderator. I've seen it plenty on ps3iso, uCoz, and on here.

Yes, and you'll get same responses from people on staff, that christian made. He was rude. Most guides rely on the fact that you're already on 3.55 cfw, and not on ofw, anyway. There are very rude moderators on here, but I won't name names. You'll find them soon enough . We should all be so friendly, but yes some want to make themselves feel superior. If someone asks a stupid question, I direct them to a link to the answer. Simple as that. I can't classify this as redundant or not, but I'm glad to see people helping the op out.
