You need to downgrade to 3.55 not 3.40 to jailbreak. You then need an E3 flasher in order to downgrade to 3.55.
Then you need to install 3.55 Kmeaw CFW from the recovery menu, then install whatever CFW you want.

Dawood, I get that. I was saying I used the Downgrade checker to see IF my console can be downgraded and it stated it can be downgraded low as 3.40 which pretty much means i can install the 3.55. I will be sending out my console to get Downgraded since it seems it would be more expensive for me to buy the E3 flasher and to do all the work myself.
The E3 Flashers that i've found are like $100 so if you guys know of a cheaper one I wouldn't mind doing it myself.

tbh I would say that is cheap because I live in the UK and they cost around £150 and that's like $240 although I would say that it would be best to send it off to someone who can do it because its significantly cheaper.
btw my ps3 is Cech-2501a aswel
