PS3ita is definitely the best, but it's really a matter of opinion.
Though for RTE you're definitely best off with a DEX CFW, and PS3ita is personally my favorite out of Rebug & PS3ita.
However, if you're new to PS3 modding, converting to DEX can be a pretty difficult process. DEREKTROTTER has the best, simplest tutorial out there: You must login or register to view this content.
The first time I did this, it took me an hour or so. However, I was some what of a noob back then, and still am. The latest console I have converted which was my third conversion was a slim and took about 20 minutes, it's just a matter of not panicking when you see how many steps there are & how many times you need to re-install the firmware on your console. As long as you don't over-think it, you'll be just fine. Don't think too little though, or you'll probably brick it. =3
