Your e3 clip is not having good contact with the NOR chip.

NewYorrk is right, usually this is caused by a bad contact between the NOR chip and the clip suit cable. Check the connection and try again.

Yes that's what you're doing... backing up the NOR BIOS. If you have a 2K model flasher, and you're flashing a PHAT PS3, it may not work. I had that problem and I can't flash PHATs.
