You can only install cfw on a 3.55 PS3 and your on 4.66 just guessing though

but if you did downgrade with a E3 or Progskeet then try installing rebug 3.55.4 then install whatever CFW you want

umm not to mean or anything but do you even no what ur talking about lol ive done so many downgrades with a e3 flasher n let me tell u ive never gone to 3.55 unless im trying to go to dex when u install the bios u can install any cex fw u like that being 4.55 4.60 or even fking 9.999999999999 rogero lol any fw will work after u install the patch bios

You most likely are placing the .pup in the wrong directory

Firmware goes in : PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Ive always gone down to 3.55 to enable QA Flag and to get EID0 (for dex) it just makes it smoother to install future cfw i know 2 people that do it that way and they always seem to have trouble updating but might be just them tho
