I have the bypass or demo ps3updat.pup installed, and moded and replaced the savegame file, i cant get the mod menu to come up tho and would appreciate it if anyone could give me a hand with this, thanks in advance!

Ive never used Demo Mode... So and you cant get access to any memory(poking memory) without a custom firmware ps3 if im not wrong you can load cfg on any cut all the way up to bo1... so demo is unneeded

Okay, i am totally new to any kind of alteration of a ps3, the closest thing to it that i am pretty familiar with is messing around with flashing android phones, mostly, and other phones too. Is there anything that i need to know right off the bat about modding a ps3?

well, i started modding cfg also,... everything you mod is something you learn again...
try to mod zombie BO1 it's easy but "code" it yourself.
than you will understand a little more
