As you can probally tell I am 100% new to all of this. I have searched for help but I dont understand it and its all very old, everyone has to start somewhere right?

You can go to a newer firmware like rogero/habib after you have done that you can install a 4.66 spoofer and multiman. If you're going to mod the games i also suggest to install cappi of course and psninja and psnpatch.
