(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am currently on 3.55 however it will not let me update to a cfw! It says corrupted data. What do I do!?

Make sure you have the folder on your USB in this order. PS3 Inside that folder create a folder named UPDATE. (Put everything in caps)

then inside the UPDATE folder, Put the update in there and rename the update PS3UPDAT.PUP . Also there is no E in UPDAT so dont think i forgot the E. Then update. If it does not update from XMB menu go to recovery mode and update from there. It should update but if it doesnt then you might need a new PS3.

Make sure the firmware you're trying to install is CEX (if you're on CEX) and DEX, if you're on DEX.
However, if you're getting a corrupted data error, I'd try flashing the firmware from recovery mode.

(I'm talking CEX or DEX just incase you're on a 3.55 custom firmware. If you're on official firmware, you will only be able to install a CEX custom firmware, and will get the corrupted data error if you try to install a DEX firmware.)
