So ive downloaded a downgrader file thing that is zipped but if i try to unzip it, it asks me for a password, the site that i downloaded it from says they'll give me the password if i complete a survey and what not, but they don't, so could someone maybe give me a link to downgrade my ofw 4.66. Find the file on here that way you know it's legit and won't brick your ps3

You need a E3 flasher in order to downgrade, you can't downgrade with a file...

Yeah. It's impossible to downgrade with just a file unless you are on a 4.66 CFW, not OFW. To downgrade from official firmware, you will need a hardware flasher. (E3 flasher is personal favorite, and is completely solderless if your PS3 is NOR based.)
