Post: Problems With PS3 Cause E3 Flasher...

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so I am currently trying to downgrade my console to 3.55. I have all my backups and everything. The part I was on is when you have to put your patched backup onto the system or whatever. I tried to program it to the system but it failed halfway through. So then I had a family emergency. I had turned my PS3 off while I was gone. And now when I turn it on the screen doesn't display and the HDD light doesn't light up. I tried to go into safe mode but all it does is turn the playstation on and off whenever I hold the power button. Can anyone please give me some info on how I can fix this problem? Im literally at the last step of downgrading!Sal

If the flashing process failed half way through, your NOR will be corrupted.
Try to flash your un-modified backup & pray that it still works after that. Your console isn't hard bricked, otherwise it would turn on then off straight after, so you have a chance to repair it. I'm worried that it failed while flashing though, if the connection between the clip & NOR chip itself was solid, you shouldn't have to face an issue like this. Were all your backups 100% clean in NOR inspector?

I took your advice and reflashed my system with my unmodified perfect backup. The process went all the way through. So when I turned my PS3 back on, my HDD light actually flashed!! Smile And my system booted up perfectly fine. Thank you man now I can downgrade my system!
