(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey people,hope everyone is doing well :-)
I have a question about Sony's stock thermal compound regarding the 2 model ps3 slims ( 2002A,2102A )
It seems that the 2002A model has a white thermal paste that appears to dry up on the chips,whilst the 2102A models have a blue moisture wet looking thermal paste.
So,we all know that our thermal paste is not supposed to dry up,and supposed to be moisture/wet looking,correct?
Then I don't understand why over the years I have seen more of the 2102A models with overheating issues rather the 2002A model?
The only assumption I can accumulate is due to the solder as with the earlier old phat model ps3's regarding ylod...but I highly doubt this is the issue...
Anyone have any advice on this issue?
Also,what thermal compound would you recommend? I am familiar with mx4 and Artic silver 5,but I've been advised in the past there is some really high quality compounds out there that range in the hundreds ( $$$$ )
