I play fighting games like Street fighter 4 and Mortal kombat 9. And my question is:

Is it possible to map certain sequences of buttons to one button?

i want as a example the sequences down forward square for a hadouken mapped to the button L1.

If you can find the offset that monitors each button pressed, along with the bytes that correspond to each button, you can in theory create something that does this in the form of a tool (be it through CCAPI, TMAPI, or the new PS3MAPI).

Afaik, each game has this type of button monitoring offset, and if I recall correctly NetCheat comes bundled with a program that helps to find these specific offsets called JokerThatPS3. I haven't messed with that program myself personally, so maybe someone who has can give you more insight...
