My CFW PS3 Just Broke .. I Think .. I Was Hosting A CL For A Friend and My PS3 Just Randomly Just Shut Off .. I Thought It Overloaded .. (YaNi 1.11 Patch Always Freezes On me) So I Turned It Back On And All it Did Was Just Randomly Shut Off In Under 4 Seconds .. Help ?!
Nope ;( it turns off in under 4 seconds @bmob10189
Only way to tell if it's rlod, pull the hard drive out, then start your ps3. If you get a screen saying software can't be run properly, press the ps button to retry or press n hold start n select etc etc, then you don't have rlod. If it turns off with no picture again then yea its rlod. that can be fixed but takes some know how
Sold a wire from tristate to GND. Like in this You must login or register to view this content.
Plug in the e3 flasher with bkpps3 patched bin file with all swtiches down except the 1st one.
Power on the console. It should stay on if not change GND spot.
Hit start on e3 flasher.
When done. Your console should be unbricked.
I have done that already, it's not bricked. I think YLOD .. there used to be a Yellow dot when I turned it on, but not anymore. I fixed it, i replaced the thermal paste around the edges of the motherboard.

Just curious, as my PS3 is fine, but knowing a bit about wiring and such I am confused. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't a YLOD or RLOD caused when the soldered connections on the mother board get overheated and cracked, therefore no longer making connection for current to pass through? If so, the picture posted here does not appear to actually be a reconnection, but rather a bypass. I mean, I imagine it does what it needs to, but am I right that this picture does not show a reconnection of two circuits, but rather a bypass? Again, I am sure it works, but I'm just curious.

I tried this with mine as I brick mine but I soldered to the nor tristate to the e3 but I had the clip on the e3 one way my system turned on but 3 blue flashing light so I though I put it on wrong so I turned it round and now it's gone back to how it was ylod brick error

YLOD its fucked, reflow it with a heat gun to get a few more weeks life out of it,or get it reballed for a longer lasting solution.
