(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright I'm getting a ps3 this week and I don't think the guy knows much about it so I was wondering how to tell if it using cappi or tampi its on ether 4.50 ita dex or something ita?

with ccapi it when it loads up in the top right hand corner a message will popup saying ccapi, and with ps3ita you will know as when the ps3 boots up your coldboot(boot logo) will say ps3ita.

Well to check if it's on CEX or DEX you can run Rebug Toolbox, click System Information and it will till you if it's CEX or DEX. Also, if it's ITA or Rebug, just check the bootup or the color of the PSN logo in XMB. Red= Rebug, Blue can be ITA or others. If it tells you you're IP in the bottom right its ITA.

If the PS3 Is running dex, it's obviously TMAPI Available.

If you are unsure if CCAPI is installed already, restart your PS3 and after some time you should see (CCAPI 2.60) in the corner or so. Like a notification Smile

Also couldn't I just download a rtm and try both to see?

No. You'd need a debug eboot and certain settings to use TMAPI. Also, downgrade your system to 4.50 ITA. 4.55/4.60 is bad. 4.50 is the best version of ITA. I believe multiman is broken in 4.55+; at least it was for me.
