What is wrong with the Ethernet port? Is it just genuinely damaged or is it something you're doing wrong?

Are you on CEX or DEX?
If you're on DEX, are you on rebug?

If you're on rebug, the last time you attempted to data transfer did you change the settings on rebug toolbox from rebug / debug modes. Otherwise you're not able to perform 'ata Transfers'

Also, unfortunately you will also need to flash back to CEX. I also had this problem where I couldn't data transfer before, these are the steps above of what I did to get it working.
