Answer:

DEX: This is a developer firmware, can be used to debug games nicely through TMAPI. Some games are actually compatible to this debugging, and lets you debug the game as a developer. It also has nice features in the XMB to change your NP Environment, and a lot other stuff. It's hard to go in depth due the amount of stuff your able to do.

CEX: This is quiet lighter than DEX, it has lack of specific features that DEX has but this firmware also lets you do Real Time Modding thanks to Enstone for releasing CCAPI in 2014. On CEX, you do not need to have a "DEBUG" EBOOT To mod games in Real Time, unlike DEX/TMAPI.

Simply replace "BLUS30838" with your own game id, in this example we're showing MW3 Updates. Open up the url, then notice this "https://i.imgur.com/IIR6nlS.png" which is a PKG. Open that url, and download the file. Now you can install it as any other PKG On your PlayStation 3.

It shows 6 updates meaning it needs to install them in the correct order (in this case 1.19->1.24) for mw3 to work properly.

if you are already on OFW 3.55 you should be able to just install a CEX CFW...as long as once you are done, you have "install package files" on the XMB, voila, you are now jailbroken.
-format a USB drive for fat32
-create the following folder format in the USB: PS3>UPDATE
-download whatever CFW you want to use
-place the update file in the UPDATE folder
-rename the update file to PS3UPDAT.pup
-there are 2 ways you can update. If you are lucky, your PS3 will read the update file and be able to update if from XMB(never update via internet). Select update via storage media. If when you select this option it does not show an available update, double check the name of the update file, it must be"UPDAT.PUP" if the file name is correct, then you have a USB drive that doesnt like to properly read(it happens with some USB's) and will need to update via recovery
-i am not going to give a full tut on how to update via recovery, for that, just research how to get into recovery menu, do so, and follow the on screen instructions for updating via storage media.

Is there a light homebrew for ps3? like there was for psp 3000 users just run a small app and then u can play cfw games and cfw apps and when u turn off system ur ofw is intact only if u put ur psp in sleep mode mods stay but everytime system is turned on app needed to be aplied to play back up games.Im just wondering since is alot faster and it would take like 30 seconds to have light soft cfw.
