as far as cfw go they all allow you to use the ps3, so in that respect they are all pretty good.

now unless you know what you want out of a firmware then you wont have any idea which is better for you and others will probably have no idea than to suggest their favourites.

as far as the md5 having red letters.. if you are not sure if the pup you have is legit, why don't you find a good download source for it and check the md5 again, of course checking the md5 is correct in the first place.
