should i get the rex or d-rex?

for normal use and easy config, get the rex(cex) , d-rex is dex
btw, you can mod just fine in cex also and if you dont gonna play emulators or ps2 games, turn off rebug cobra mode on rebug toolbox.

you can use both on rebug 4.65.2 but if you are beginner stay on rex ,learn how to use cfw ,how to go online ,use ccapi and itd......
When you learn all that then switch to d-rex
