Post: Modding Help? - Troubles - Questions

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay well..

first things first I guess
I have a CECH2501a, I want to mod it.
I know I need to use an e3 Flasher to Jailbreak the system..
however, I'm not sure how to do this.. or if I need to Downgrade or not.

2ndly,
What is the best/better CFW to run..
if this is Game Specific. then My game would be Call of duties.. Black Ops 1 and 2.. Modern Warfare.ect. and GTA 5.

3rd, What is the difference between NAND, NOR, ROGERO., REBUG.. ect..

once all that is done and installed, my next step I'm Guessing is.. Files? So Ive been told I'll have a New folder on my Ps3s Hub..
Where I can place files for Mods.

how do I find these mods, how do I know its the right mod for what I'm looking for .. example: Mod Menu for GTA5.. where does it go? how do I know the file extension is correct? those sorts of things..

Thank you so very much in advance.. I would really like to start modding so I would like to learn my facts.. the process and the world of PS3 modding before I start to do it.

I'm a thinker.. not a breaker.. lol

Thanks again guys.. and gals Winky Winky

Awesome. Exactly what I was hoping for.
that means I will just get someone to Downgrade/Jailbreak for me..
then when an update of whichever CFW I'm running is Released. I will use the new file to update Smile

Thanks a lot.

Now how about Multiman? what exactly is that.. I've heard its good to have, but not exactly what it is..

would someone be able to List, either Files names.. or Programs and Links to files/programs I will need to have MoD Menu in GTA5
not sure of all mod menus are the same.. or if the menu is a program and you add extra files for different features.

but what I want is like.. God Mode, Explosive shooting.. Teleport.. Super Jump.. Money Drop.. make vehicles fly.. add duplicates of players .. make someone stuck in place and not move.. all that fun stuff.
and where do these files go in xmb?
Package Install? or different?

I'm sure most of this is already on NGU, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for file wise.. names or abbreviations..

thanks in advance Smile

Awesome. thank you.
I've been watching some videos and reading articles but still get confused at some spots when they start using names of find out programs like multiman.. and I don't know what that stuff does lol.

I know I'm a newbie. and its all obvious to y'all.. I do the same thing to my wife when she's asks me questions about here car.. its like uhh really.. you don't know what an Air Filter is? lmao.
so I know how you guys feels with my more then likely rhetorical or obvious questions.
but bare with me .. I'm a quick learner Smile

Alright my friendly friends Smile

I've found a system for sale..
guys asking $180CAD.. not a bad deal.

He said the system is running Rogero 4.55 with Spoof for online(not sure which spoof he is using yet, waiting on response)

Its a FAT Model. not slim
120GB
He said he will put 3 games of my choice on it.
Also comes with Multiman set up for RTM? idk what that means..

he said its never been online. but its ready too.

Does this all sound accurate to you all?
anything seem fishy?
Also said he will show proof about everything working.

Multiman is used to load games (ps3, snes, ps1, ps2 only on internal hdd) on internal or external hdd. You can also view the file system to move files around to and from your internal hdd or external hdd without going to a computer.

As for gta 5 mods, I used an eboot.bin someone created and overwrote the original eboot.bin in the game folder on the internal hdd. The eboot.bin has to be the right version of the update to play online with I think eg. 1.19 if the online update version is 1.19.

Rtm means real time modding. You use ccapi or tmapi to connect from your pc to ps3. From there you use whatever rtm tool for the game you want to mod on from your pc.

You are jumping a bit ahead of yourself. First get your hands on a jailbroken console, then expect the responses to your questions or you'll just be lost.

Awesome, makes so much more sense now Smile

So yeah I'd have to get an eboot.bin for v1.22 and place it in the folder for my internal storage if its saved to consoles HDD. Sweeeet

Nice bro. So for example.

Using a recovery tool..
Use Tmapi or Ccapi to connect to PC "wirelessly" to transfer data..
IE: RP, Money, LSC unlocks.. ect

Am I on the right track with that?

Thanks for the concern. but I'm actually a very fast and east learner.
I used to code when I was a PC Gamer Smile👍
PS3 Modding is just new to me. The process like non other that is unfamiliar will take research and answers to your questions
I did t jump on this expecting to learn from scratch..
I've watched my tutorials on different CFWs and there aspects..
I've researched different Spoofs and how they work. ect..

there are still things yes that I'm confused about, which seem to be getting answered by the lovely people here at NGU.
Smile which I'm grateful for.
