Post: CCAPI Idea.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so who would be willing to share the files that the ccapi pkg installs on to the ps3 because i was thinking if we installed the files manually and without the installer which requires cfw to run as it is homebrew. It should work the same way right? I would grab the files my self but im not technically minded and probably break my cfw ps3 but let me know if this is a good idea. And please provide the files if possible

Wont work if your trying to use it on OFW, but it is a good thought. Your thinking outside the box a lil bit

What files are you meaning?

The only we can get is extract the .PKG with the Aldo Tools!

Is that what you mean?

not 100% sure what he means, but if I understand correctly, he wants to know if it would be possible rather than using the CCAPI tool(why I am not sure as the tool just simplifies things) to use tools such as RTE tools and the likes, if the same files being used in CCAPI, can be installed directly to the system files itself, probably along the lines of how sprx mods are installed. So in other words, install the same RTE tools, but directly to the system rather than using the CCAPI tool as a "middle man" so to speak.

What i mean is the installer on ps3 dumps files in to dev_flash but i donot what files get dumped in order for the tool on pc to connect to our ps3 i was wondering if someone could grab these files on dev_flash and give them to me we could install them manually there fore meaning we could install this on our ofw ps3's. I tried with multiman earlier but like i said i do not know what files get dumped/ installed.

This will work on OFW as peek and poke is not required for the PKG it self as it is just an installer. I looked in my dev_flash with multiman earlier and apparently alls the installer dumps are plugin files and config files i assume these files are what allows the connection to our pc and tools, but i do not know which are associated with ccapi as ive got tons of homebrew. So if we got some way to install this manually we could use ccapi on ofw.

OFW doesn't run any boot plugins so no you can't do this on OFW. thats what I was getting at just didn't think I needed to explain. I've already tried this multiple times in different ways. All included me removing the hdd from the PS3 using an external hdd case so I could plug it into the computer and move files just like you would on multiman. CCAPI works on a CFW PS3 cause they can run boot plugins, that's y you see the msgs at the top right (Control Console API) (webMAN) etc when you start up your PS3.
