when I turn on my Ps3 it gives me a message saying something about it couldn't finish updating.
I let it finish Updating and it tries to reboot (I think) but it gets stuck in a black screen.
I have to force the restart and it auto starts the update again..
I retried over and over and the same thing happens again... I know the HDD is good.
I originally updated it with a USB so the update did copy over to the system
and then started to install and that's when the power went out.
That's when it all went to shyt...

Any body have a solution?

I would appreciate it very much if someone could help me...
I have 77 Unique IDPS's ( I own a store full of them)
I would give one away if your method works... If it's allowed.. Ill ask Tustin first..
If not a 3 month NGU ELITE membership instead...

It says don't turn off the system when installing firmware. You got a power outage? Then there's your answer. It also says the system may not be able to restart if turned off updating. Pointless thread.

It says it was not damaged when it restarts the update and goes to 100%... NOT a Pointless thread.
My husbands works for a 3rd party C.O. for US Sony and he repairs very good. but this ps3 has a REAL debug DFW (not CFW) I want it fixed before he finds out. IF you can not help then don't post pointless shyt.

Only things i can think of than is your hard drive is screwed and needs to be formatted or replaced OR your power supply is bad but i don't think that's the problem.

Also make sure you are using the right input and what not.

If its a problem while you updated.try putting the hdd into another ps3 to format it then reinstall the cfw.or just buy a new hdd that fits the ps3.
