My PS3 hasn't been turned on since 4.66 and I just turned it in today and it froze on the xmb. It would not turn off so I unplugged it and plugged it back it. Then it was stuck in a data corrupted loop. So I put it in safe mode and just restored it. After that I was able to get on and I updated the firmware, then after it auto restarted it said the system files were corrupt again and now it's stuck back just going up to about 40% and restarting itself and saying system files are corrupt! What can I do to fix this? Someone please help!
Try restoring the file system & re-installing the firmware, if no hope, you might possibly have a faulty HDD
